One of her earliest childhood memories was being in the hospital getting treatment for polio when she heard the news that a polio vaccine was available.
She could get downright nasty with anti-vax idiots - and for good reason.

Polio was really scary. Everybody knew someone who suffered from it.
My opinion of anti-vaxxers is not printable.
