(15,435 posts)My first post opened for today and it's an issue that warms this much too cynical heart in a VERY, VERY long time!
As an old time Liberal Boomer who has felt enormous concern by the lack of political activism by far too many people, so glad to see "real action" beginning to bloom. I've seen enough apathy in this country to last me the rest of my life, so much so that I've said out loud that at my age, (in my 60's) I'm glad I might not be around to see the demise of a once great America.
My political activism is older than some of the people I see in the picture above! My father introduced me to politics when I was 11 and throughout the years it's become an addiction. My last "boots on the ground" effort was with the Occupy Movement. It fizzled here in this very red county I live in down here in Florida, but my spirits were raised higher than they had been in many years. Since that time and all that has transpired my cynicism and outrage gave me so little hope. I'm beginning to see seeds sprout again, and can't wait to see it blossom into more and more intense activism, whether physically or media driven so that "we the people" can mend the ruin that the PTB has caused.
Thanks again!

FullVotingRights YES
(1 post)We all need to keep pushing for every individual voter's "Full Voting
Rights" regardless of the individuals personal/political persuasions.
Most say they have voting rights if (1) one can register, (2) one can
get ballot, (3) mark ballot in secret, and then (4) place ballot in a
ballot box or ballot machine.
This represent only 4 of their rights contain in their "Full Voting
Rights"....
When you spell out all the voter's rights you will come up with at
at least 30 rights contained in YOUR "Full Voting Rights".
Please push your elected official to place the "Full Voting Rights"
in our Constitutions (fed, states) and our election laws, procedures,
practices (fed, state, local).
Thanks and Good Luck,
Frank Henry
