that people aren't free to disagree with a particular criticism of a president. To reject such disagreement is nothing short of crass authoritarianism.

It cuts both ways, you know.

TR loathed Woodrow Wilson, whereas Wilson rarely give Teddy a moment's consideration. When Wilson, then in Paris, received a telegram informing him that Roosevelt had died suddenly, the president gave a little chuckle, tossed the telegram in the trash, and joyfully went about the rest of his day.
