DeSantis: Florida 'will not comply' with new Biden Title IX rules

(The Hill) Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said Thursday his state “will not comply” with recently unveiled changes to Title IX by the Biden administration.

“Florida rejects [President Biden’s] attempt to rewrite Title IX,” DeSantis said in a video posted to the social platform X. “We will not comply, and we will fight back.”

“We are not gonna let Joe Biden try to inject men into women’s activities,” DeSantis continued. “We are not gonna let Joe Biden undermine the rights of parents, and we are not gonna let Joe Biden abuse his constitutional authority to try to impose these policies on us here in Florida.”

The Biden administration on Friday unveiled a final set of changes to Title IX that add protections for transgender students to the federal civil rights law on sex-based discrimination. The changes will take effect in early August.

As a father of two daughters who/were avid athletes, I'm very...torn things they have to work at harder and their brother does with far less effort certainly/easily simply cuz he is a man (he is 18) makes me hesitant.

As mel Gibson once said in patriot "I don't have the luxury, I'm a father". I feel painted into that corner, where both sides make sense

As a haha, she tried to strike him out. She threw 20 pitches and he put 9 over the fence. Her entire high school career she allowed three home runs.

I'm understand there is a significant difference between the male and female physically

It's there, and to say it isn't is just wrong. The girls deserve their chance at being special which can be taken away

A person assigned male at birth, but now identifies as a woman is a transgender woman, not a transgender man. If that is what you meant, please correct your post so that you are not misgendering the people you are asking about.

On the other hand. If you were asking about people assigned female at birth, but who now identify as male, they belong on the men's team.
