Haley turns fire on Trump as GOP primary shifts to New Hampshire

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Nikki Haley is trying a risky new tactic in the Republican presidential race: She’s mounting an attack on Donald Trump.

One day after her third-place finish in Iowa, the former South Carolina governor's campaign and a pro-Haley super PAC began promoting TV ads here depicting Trump as a bully and a liar. Her campaign released a memo calling the former president “more vulnerable than commonly believed.” And Haley announced she would not participate in two scheduled debates media outlets scheduled ahead of the New Hampshire primary unless Trump joined her on stage — suggesting she plans to ignore Ron DeSantis and train her fire on the frontrunner.
-snip-
New Hampshire is make-or-break for Haley, which likely explains the shift toward confronting Trump. Still, her offensive exposes her to significant risk — not only in the primary, where she is polling double digits behind Trump, but in a GOP where, if the former U.N. ambassador has any future, she cannot afford to alienate whole swaths of conservatives.

That barely rises to susane collins pearl clutching concern level.

All she said was he is lying about her and being a bully. Bigg woop.

That isn't fire. That isn't even heat. And to be honest, it misses the mark completely.

He has called her a bird brain and an air head. Lies? you decide.

Oh, and the birther stuff, yeah, it's a lie that she isn't qualified to run, but not that her parents weren't citizens - which is the real friggin reason he is bringing it up and the real friggin reason you should be offended you bird brained air head.

I'm surprised she's not doing better attacks ads or have surrogates attacking him. She should play the stolen nuclear secrets.

The Maga like to pretend they are patriotic. Show him for the traitor he is will go further than just calling him a liar and a bully.

The Maga don't care he lies and bullys people. They think it's just tough man attacks. But being a traitor is something else.

It's the most hidden and late of all the indictments. It's been purposely hidden and delayed because it is the one that strikes a nerve with the GOP voters.

And Haley has few other allies and friends in high places willing to double-down and help her out.

Last fall I predicted that Vivek would drop out first, and Nikki would be the 2nd. I'm surprised that Chris Christie didn't hang in there longer, but I guess he has fewer big-money backers.

Even if she does somehow win SC, it would be like Kasich winning Ohio in 2016. Of course a Governor should win his/her own state. But if that's all you can do, you aren't going anywhere else.

Everything she tells her Republican audience/voters is exactly what the Dems are saying about the man.......and she doesn't even think about the fact that she is directly backing the Dems campaigns........

Hopefully, Faux News will broadcast her statements continually to their audience...........
