I used to post this study to people who made comments saying that liberals were stupid

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Yonnie3 (a host of the Editorials & Other Articles group).

and now, interestingly I cannot find it and it has been replaced by one suggesting that republicans are the,(slightly) smarter ones. It is on Science Direct. They are getting their information now from "U.S. General Social Survey (GSS)". I have no idea who they are but I don't see any scientific studies on their site. I also searched their information box and got nothing for 'intelligence" with liberal or conservative.

It seems as if they were pressured to post this "study" that isn't a study. They are rated as "Pro-Science"

Here is the link to the article that comes up if you enter "IQ Conservatives" or something similar. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0160289614001081

I am hoping someone else would like to write to them and ask why they have seeming removed the study that used over 3,000 students, (SAT tests and some others that I cannot remember) and replaced it with one that uses a "General Social Survey" with no links

The reason I am asking for someone else to do this is, at this point I can't do it because I am so mad and if I stay like this for too long I get depressed.

I used to do these things all the time but now for some reason I get mad and then depressed. It's the holiday shit too. I can't wait until it is all over.

It's been around for decades, is highly influential, and is used extensively by research and media firms. Data from the GSS is going to be much more extensive and wide-ranging than one study with 3,000 students.

to when they were adults. I ones with the higher IQ's tended to become liberal and the lower IQs tended toward conservative.

And I didn't even read about the guy who "did" the study but he is an ass. Someone just posted his Wikipedia page. Science Direct should not be using anything from him
