is owned and operated by corporations, management and directors with overt or barely-concealed right wing leanings. But something that doesn’t get mentioned as often is how often news organizations seem to be emulating shows like Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood. I don’t even bother with national news shows anymore, but I do turn on the local news only to mute nearly all of it while the anchors crack jokes and go on and on about the new fried food offerings at the State Fair and other similarly newsworthy topics.
