(3,860 posts)2. RFK Jr. is a conspiracy theory-believing, vaccine denying right wing nut job.
No self-respecting, self-aware Democrat or independent would cast a ballot for that mess. So of course, potentially, an independent bid by someone who already resonates with the extremist wing of the GOP could syphon off Trumpies. What I think will happen is that he will fold when he runs out of money, which he will do fairly soon.

(32,645 posts)3. He's a well-mannered Chump-lite, but he's also got a Dem-sounding name
Of course he's going to snag some of Chump's voters, maybe even more than we think.
I'm just happy he's no longer calling himself a Democrat.

(61,900 posts)4. Prominent among RFK Jr's sins is election denial (2000 and 2004).
GOP tells Republicans not to support RFK Jr. because he's denied the validity of presidential elections (Business Insider)

Robert F. Kennedy is now running for president as an independent, and the Republican National Committee (RNC) is offering 23 different reasons why Republicans shouldn't support him.
Among those reasons: Kennedy's an election denier.
"He called the 2000 presidential election stolen 'under a cloud of dirty tricks' and said Republicans 'fix[ed]' the 2004 presidential election," reads a memo released by the RNC on Monday. Other reasons include Kennedy's support for basic aspects of the Democratic Party's agenda, including combatting climate change and supporting abortion rights.

republicans, including tRUMP even.
