just when you think our worthless, corporate-controlled media has sunk as low as it can, here comes ABC reporter John Parkinson. this past weekend, John was super fucking pleased with himself, because in his mind he had committed an awesome journalism. John caught up with the president and asked Biden if he would pardon his son Hunter.

nothing special about that, right? just a reporter doing his job and asking questions. perfectly normal.

oh wait, I left out the best part: this shouted question happened while Biden was at a cemetery, visiting the gravesites of his first wife Neilia and their children Beau and Naomi.

5. I want to make an OT comment here.

When my father remarried after my mother's death my step mother - I was in my twenties when my father remarried so this was an adult step mother relationship -made a point of honoring my "real mother's" memory.

They went to the cemetery regularly, my father to pay respects to her first husband, she to pay respects to my mother.

My father's been gone 30 years and my step mother, now in her late 90s, is still beloved in my family; I saw her last week.

I want to remark on the first lady's class, which reminds me of my step mother's class.

The lack of respect and civility shown by this reporter smacks of poor journalism schooling (did he even go to a reputable journalism school?) and poor on-the-job training. He needs to go back to school or be put in a media trainee program.

The print media is little better with their both sides balance pitting utter lies and conspiracies against facts and truth. And with their choice of articles and topics, they affect the national discourse and perceptions of what is happening in the country, and the world. The perception that the economy is horrible under Biden and everything he is doing is wrong for the country is especially because of right-wing media, but mainstream media does little to act as a counterbalance in presenting reality because they want to avoid offending Republicans. Instead, they would rather promote fake narratives (Biden is too old and needs to drop out!) and risk another Grump presidency and the loss of of democracy. How do all the media barons figure they would survive as a free press in a dictatorship?
