Trump ridiculed for plan to build a National Garden of American Heroes: Surprised he didnt include Zorro Raw Story
By Matthew Chapman
At Trumps Independence Day Speech at Mount Rushmore, he pledged to sign an executive order establishing the National Garden of American Heroes in reaction to efforts to tear down monuments glorifying racist historical figures. Although many of the people proposed by the administration for the garden, like Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr., are fairly universally beloved, others, like former President Ronald Reagan, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, and evangelical preacher Billy Graham, are sharply partisan choices.
The president was roundly scorned on social media for his proposal, with many considering the whole idea a stunt, and others criticizing the choices of heroes Trump wanted to honor.
(It would appear it is an attempt to create a monument that he can get his face on. More bat shit crazy narcissism.)

The question is should a monument be erected that holds the potential for a Trump likeness to be added to it? Personally a picture of Satan or Hitler would suffice for a great likeness of Trump.

(10,749 posts)We can go with mockery:
The Lone Ranger, but not Tonto
Superman, but not Supergirl (btw, why not superwoman?)
Batman, but not Robin
Sky King, just because of the name
Crockett and Tubbs
Buford Pusser (not the real one but the actor Joe Don Baker)
Paul Kersey (Charles Bronson in Death Wish)
The Six Million Dollar Man
Captain Kirk
Or we can go all-out racist with:
George Wallace (before the wheel chair)
Bull Connor
Edmond Pettus
Nathan Bedford Forrest
Peregrine Took

(12,539 posts)According to public records, it's his personal residence, so he can do whatever he wants. In the morning, he can get up early and wander about the statues, tweeting his thoughts on each man's contributions to the Confederate States. He can even build a beautiful wall around the garden to keep "others" out.
