An Open Letter to the Senate Republicans

Party Loyalty Versus Morality

Honorable Senators of the United States Senate:

I am going to try really hard not to curse or go into a tirade. I will be respectful and remain as dignified as possible. Here it goes:

I am not naive enough, or Pollyanna hearted to believe you are going be objective over the Impeachment trial of President Trump. I know that you are going to vote to acquit him and to not remove him from office. Why? It is because he is a member of your family, or tribe.
It kind of works that way in slums. What is the old adage? Snitches get stitches. If someone commits a crime in your tribe, then you pretend you never saw it and, if or when you are asked about it, you reply: “I know nothing.” If you do rat, or “inform” on your fellow tribesman, then you are punished. It doesn’t matter if you are in the army, a street gang, or a family. It is all about being loyal.
However, is “Loyalty” a virtue? The 3rd branch of Philosophy—Ethics—has debated this preposition for hundreds of years. If your son commits a heinous crime, do you support him, love him, lie, and hide him? Or, do you turn him over to the police?
This ethical dilemma is why you will be voting “not guilty.” You will rationalize it and say the evidence is flimsy, predicated on hearsay. You will not say the real reason you are exonerating him. What is the real reason? If you vote your conscious then you will anger your rich donors and the party bosses. So, you recite your party’s talking points like a well-programmed robot, and prepare for your reelection. Come on! You know it’s true!
There is more in “Sacrifice” then dying for your country on a battlefield. Sacrifice also means betraying your rich donors and Republican leadership for the sake of patriotic justice. We have an insane, drug-addled president who could start World War Three at any moment. If you vote “Guilty,” not only will you save America, you will save the entire world!
Before you throw away your vote on vindicating a scurrilous reprobate, may I make a suggestion? Read the book by John F. Kennedy, “Profile In Courage.” What will you learn from this book? Don’t be a good Republican. Be a great patriot!

Yours truly,

Koch Ebola

I might add that it is my belief that they are cowards, they fear two things, one is the idiot's tweets (can you believe the idiot has them by the balls with tweets?), and the other one is William Barr, to me the most dangerous person in the USA today.

But the bottom is, they are cowards and they lack patriotism. Their patriotism stops at their lapel with that little flag, they need to place it there to make their followers think they do love their country, but actions speak louder than words or a little flag on the lapel, unfortunately, their followers are too ignorant to realize it.
