McConnell is killing wildly popular prescription drug legislation right now on behalf of his donors
Kevin M. Kruse RetweetedThis is how McConnell wins: he's killing wildly popular prescription drug legislation right now on behalf of his wealthy donors and it's virtually impossible to find media coverage of it.

(12,712 posts)You are not doing your job McConnell and are clearly representing special interests for your own benefit.
In case you forgot, (since we pay your salary and give you all those perks) this is still a government of the people, for the people and by the people. We function as a pluralistic democracy that is dedicated to the common will for the common good and I stand by that and it is our mantra.
Seeing as how you are failing miserably and so very obviously at fulfilling your duty as a public servant, this is now a very real problem since you do not represent America as far as your actions are concerned. In this case, your DUTY is to the people, (your constituents even) that they have affordable access to necessary medications in order that they might live and thrive in this society.
There is NO compromising on this. This needs to be repeated and upheld since it seems to be drowned out by time, news cycles, wedge issues and the scapegoat du jour, yet it is the most vital and fundamental, (dare I say sacred?) core of our government and our democracy.
I stand by that in times like these.

We only know of the $3.5 million "donation" by some oligarchs, but that most likely is the tip of the melting iceberg.
McTurtle thinks nothing of his pittance of a salary or the Oath of Office he mumbled with his amphibian fingers crossed.

(12,712 posts)He is, nevertheless on our payroll and is employed in a certain capacity to serve us properly.
He can resign and enjoy his filthy lucre all he wants as far as I am concerned, but then, we are fostering his means to greater wealth, huh? A bit of a ruse of being used and abused of The People going on there in broad daylight and plain sight. In that case, he holds the position illegitimately and I just think that is worth pointing out...often.
