Excusing white supremacist violence doesn’t matter. His ignorance of how tariffs work doesn’t matter. His lies about immigration statistics, crime, and drugs crossing the border don’t matter.

Neither does his suspiciously opaque relationship with Vladimir Putin. Or his praise for strongarm dictators. Or his buffoonish actions on the world stage. Or his insults. Or his porn-star payoffs. Or seating a foreign agent on the national security council. Or hiring neo-Nazis as advisors. Or hiring alt-right propagandists as advisors. None of it matters

White people don’t care.

What does it get you. You know as well as me that white people as a whole do not support trump.

You know all of the white Dems in Congress do not support trump. You know all the white people who elected them do not support trump.

You know their kids who are a political do not support trump.

You know that trump’s national support in the 40% range and the white population is well over 40% of the country. If all white people supported trump he would be in the 60% range.

You know I hope that that statement is not logical which also makes it untrue.

They are racists. They might not wear hoods, they might not believe they are racists. But if you believe a child being put in cage is worth tolerating because you think you'll be getting a tax cut, then you are racist.

If you think a shooting in a mosque or synagogue is regrettable, but you think Trump might open the old outdated town factory that built a product that nobody wants any more, then you are racist.

I think what people are skipping over the obvious. I agree with this article.

Trump voters simply can’t handle all this change both real and force fed to them. I could list all the changes they’ve seen in their pathetic lifetimes but we all know them. Obama was just too much for them. They flipped out. Hillary, aside from the 25 years of attacks, was mind blowing to them. A black President THEN a woman President??? No no no, make it stop they cried. They want one constant back - a white male President. This also explains the evangelicals support for him - it’s not just paternalism it’s the subjugation of women.
