'A place for them here': It's the migrants Trump rejects that will make Melbourne best

Diego Reyas came to Australia five years ago from Colombia for a masters degree.

He liked it, saw opportunities and opened a cafe.

His business Cento Mani now employs Colombians, imports some of Melbourne's best coffees and offers Spanish-speaking walking tours of the city.

The state wants to double the number of students and visitors from Latin America, hoping to fill a gap created by US President Donald Trump as he alienates his closest neighbours.
