Looking here and there—
What to write first?
Words, smile, tell me,
Send me first!
I don’t know—should I
Write a letter to my mother
Or call Masha?
Today is different
It is the 8th of March
I am looking for a gift
To send to Afghan women
In a small package of love
I send you love and strength
My pen desires, my poem smiles
That I should write you,
Women of my country

History is witness, I swear
