Netanyahu, the Other Israelis, and Bobby Burns
By Ralph Nader
Starting from his preposterous premise that Iran, a poor country of 77 million people with an economy nearly the size of Massachusetts, is planning a caliphate to conquer the world, Mr. Netanyahu builds his case on belligerent words by Iranian leaders, who believe they are responding to Israeli belligerence backed by its ultra-modern, U.S. equipped military machine and its repeated threats of preemptive attacks against Tehran.
Unwilling, unlike his Israeli opponents, to subject himself to questions before congressional committees, this three-time soliloquist at joint congressional sessions (1996, 2011 and 2015) was received with hoopla quite different from his reception in a much more critical Knesset. The Prime Ministers 42 minute speech was punctuated by 23 standing ovations and sitting applauses that took up 10 minutes.
The U.S. Israeli lobby has made Congress a rubber stamp for lopsided policies in the Middle East....

It WASN'T NADER! Pat Buchanan was on the Corrupted Ballot in Florida, also.
It was the Punch Card Voting on Faulty Voting Machines in Florida...Katherine Harris and the Bush Machine. But, a good Progressive Voice like Nader is Tarred and Feathered.......
History Re-Writes Itself on DU...but those of us Oldie DU'ers will NEVER FORGET FLORIDA....and it wasn't NADER...it was the Corrupt Voting Machines.
It's others who want to continually ignore the Buchanan Vote and Nader Vote and the "Punch Card Corrupt Voting" that threw it with the Supreme Court HALTING THE RECOUNT!
Sheesh....how we rewrite History of that Time. But....WE WHO WERE THERE THEN WILL NEVER FORGET..........

(8,559 posts)... was clearly stolen and it was the crooked Florida electorate with their rigged machines and minority voter purges along with the highly improper and grossly partisan intervention of the Supreme Court that did it -- not Nader.
Nader haters will hear none of it though. They'll blame him forever.
