Former Senate candidate Alvin Greene arrested

Source: The Hill

The unemployed military veteran who won the South Carolina Democratic nomination to run against then-GOP Sen. Jim DeMint in 2010 has been arrested for trespassing in Myrtle Beach.

Police said Alvin Greene was arrested Friday for trespassing at an apartment complex. He was found wandering around looking “disoriented,” according to reports, and paramedics were called to the scene.

Greene remained in jail as of Monday.

In a stunning upset, Greene edged out former state lawmaker Vic Rawl in the Democratic primary despite spending no money on his own campaign. He lost the general election to DeMint by a large margin.

so, we must be sure to thoroughly discredit the guy in case he talks.

Jail with mental problems works nicely.

no job
no home
no web site
no ads
no experience
no campaign staff

and yet he "won" the democratic primary for senate in South Carolina over a man w/
20 + years of experience who was known to voters in S. Carolina. Republicans love their
"voting machines."

Vic Rawl raised and spent less than $150,000 for his campaign:

When you have to pay for staff salaries, consultants, and fundraisers, that doesn't leave a whole lot of money for contacting voters, does it?

I'll never understand why an investigative reporter never bothered uncovered the trail vote fraud in that Democratic Primary and DeMint's role in the whole outcome.

Do you really think the South Carolina Democratic party was too stupid to investigate? They couldn't find the trail that you know exists?

Do you really think the Democratic voters in South Carolina elected Alvin Green over a well known Democratic Congress who was expected to give DeMint a run for his money?

Not just in SC but the entire nation since the national party would have investigated also. And you are also clearly smarter, without a bid of evidence, than the guy "who was expected to give DeMint a run for his money". Because clearly he either didn't investigate or did not care according to your theory. Not every election that does not go the way you want is stolen. Not everything in life is a conspiracy.

However, you're tone from the first reply really sucks! Who is it that thinks they're smarter than everyone else? You sort of remind me of Sean Hannity. Most people in South Carolina and the rest of the nation believe there was something fishy about Alvin Greene and that whole election. So please spare me any more of your "holier than thou responses." Feel free to disagree all you want, but lose the attitude, would you?

There ! ... now there's even a working title for this pre-mixed, just-add-watertight-evidence documentary that's just sitting on the shelf waiting for the right investigative reporter to give it a stir and then serve it up.

The Alvin Greene story is among THE most ignored political scandals of recent years ... (right up there with Todd Palin's pimping -- http://tinyurl.com/ko22koc ).

How was it possible that the winner of the 2010 North Carolina Democratic Primary was THIS guy?
