'Physical altercations' during dueling pro-Palestinian, pro-Israel demonstrations on UCLA campus

Source: ABC7 Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Dueling demonstrations on the UCLA campus Sunday resulted in "physical altercations" between groups showing support for a growing encampment of pro-Palestinian protesters and counter-protesters rallying around the university's Jewish students.

According to a statement from Mary Osako, vice chancellor of UCLA Strategic Communications, a group of demonstrators "breached a barrier that the university had established separating two groups of protestors on our campus, resulting in physical altercations. UCLA has a long history of being a place of peaceful protest, and we are heartbroken about the violence that broke out."

The demonstrations, which have focused on Israel's war with Hamas, on Southern California's college campuses had been mostly peaceful up until this point. It's unclear if anybody was injured or if there were any arrests made after Sunday's incident.

Members of the Harriet Tubman Center for Social Justice planed their demonstration to support students' right to protest. The group's gathering comes in response to a request from pro-Palestine protesters at the campus.

the demonstrations are about Israel killing and wounding civilians, (total count so far at 100,000) and needlessly destroying Palestinian homes and businesses in Gaza.

Note the cops are coming down heavy on demonstrators - attacking peaceful students at the slightest, even made up, provocation. . Now note how they did nothing when white supremacists demonstrated. This echoes BLM marches, the 60's freedom marches, and Kent State.

By accounts, it is the cops and infiltrators who are creating the violence. But the media is twisting it around, like they did with BLM, to blame the protestors.
