Florida man had no idea he was being deported to Haiti amid surge of gang violence

Source: NBC Miami

An Orlando man, who built a life for himself in Florida, is now stuck in Haiti.

Gerson Joseph was on the deportation flight last week that went from Louisiana to Miami to Haiti.

Joseph had no idea he was being sent out of the country.

“I have no idea what I’m going to do,” he said on a phone call from Haiti. “I barely sleep man, I am not going to lie to you, I barely sleep, I am moving from place to place.”

2. As was said elsewhere there are several tiers in our justice system which favors those with money and power connections

and which dis-serves those without either. The I.C.E. seems to operate as its own injustice system without reference to legal checks and balances which other agencies must adhere to, from the top down and the ground up.

One wonders whether there needs to be a separate advocacy system, rather like a union operates, for those caught up in the Immigration system, whether they are entering, maintaining residence, or leaving the US, to oversee fair play and correct process.

3. I think I need more information, authenticated facts, about this man in Florida and his interactions

with both immigration authorities and NBC Miami's published story for personal believeability; however, I suppose I'll not likely get anything more. I do believe that we need a lot of changes in our immigration system processes, timely law enforcement, and policies on immigration. I also believe there are strong biases and bigotries that influence unfair treatments that are potentially not compassionate nor fair against every individual that lives/resides in this country from the secrets and agendas of abuse at the family level to those in the privileged heads of confirmed SCOTUS justices...and it's not all because of "human errors" that thwart best intentions of what has become a twisted mess of coded law with twisted civilities, ethics, and moralities where the gaps all seem to revolve around more, more, and more guns and money!

This post, upon reading as is, at present. is way above my pay-grade of knowledge, but it doesn't SEEM right. From why the likes of DeJoy still enjoys powerful control of our mail by which Gerson Joseph was notitified to show up in court to leaders in law and government who would overthrow American democracy and growth but see it as justice in the land to help the cases of monsters without shame, respect, or principals of law escape justice.

4. Sounds less like "Fla Man" sent to Haiti & more like "Haiti Man" sent to Haiti

"......was deported because he missed immigration court date "

"He resolved an Orlando court case, in which he was charged with criminal mischief, then went right into the custody of ICE"

While waiting for immigration court it is a very bad idea to commit crimes & get arrested.

Even petty criminals don't deserve that fate. Better to sit in jail in the US.
