Chechen leader Kadyrov suffering from pancreatic necrosis, says Russian media outlet

Source: Ukrainska Pravda

The Russian socio-political newspaper Novaya Gazeta Europe has reported that Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov is seriously ill with pancreatic necrosis with no hope of recovery.

Kadyrov is sick, and the Kremlin faces a serious problem: how to painlessly prepare Russia’s most troublesome region for a change of power that may occur very soon."

In October, Kadyrov disappeared from the public eye, with anonymous Telegram channels reporting that the Chechen leader was in poor health, possibly due to him having been poisoned.

The newspaper said Kadyrov underwent an MRI scan of his brain last September, which showed that the disease was severely affecting him.

It seems that Kadyrov suffers from a variety of afflictions, some self-induced, but his overall condition has been deteriorating drastically of late. There's been an upsurge of reporting on him today for some reason. While a Google search will give you dozens of links, here are two more as examples:

If you've been lucky enough to completely forget who Kadyrov is, here's a refresher course from an old "Last Week Tonight" clip with John Oliver that also gives you some "before" photos to contrast with more recent ones:

1. Putinesque. Kadyrov has been talking back a bit to Putin in public lately

He started getting symptoms of vague illnesses not long after he bucked Putin in social media last year, I think.

5. Could just be due to alcoholism and not poison

Alcoholics are very prone to pancreatitis and when it's severe, it can turn into necrotizing pancreatitis.

All i have to say is OW. It's one of the most painful things out there.

(Yeah, I know, Muslims avoid alcohol, but I suspect he's as Muslim as Putin is Christian, it's a suit they put on to impress the rubes)

And yes, escalating pain is a hallmark before they die. Just awful.

11. Yeah, there's a lot of stuff living in there, all conspiring to kill you

(Cheery old bat today, eh?)

Pancreatitts can be ruled out by a blood test for serum amylase, an enzyme used to digest sugars and carbohydrates. Gall bladders take some more serious monkeying around with your innards.

Necrotizing pancreatitis means days to weeks of IV nutrition, nothing by mouth, hoping the bloody thing heals up. It sucks. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, not even scum like Khadyrov.
