Schumer invokes ancestors' deaths at hands of Nazis in calling on Johnson to put foreign aid bill on House floor

CNN — Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Sunday invoked his ancestors’ deaths at the hands of the Nazis as he called on House Speaker Mike Johnson to put a $95 billion foreign aid bill on the floor and cautioned about the dangers of catering to dictators.
Schumer, in a personal moment at a news conference in New York, told the story of his Jewish ancestors during World War II in Chortkiv, Galicia – a direct warning to Johnson about not standing up to Russian President Vladimir Putin as foreign aid for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan remains stalled in the GOP-controlled House.
“In 1941, the Nazis came in, they told my grandmother who was well known in the town of Chortkiv to gather her family on the porch. Thirty-five members gathered from ages in the 80s to three months old. The Nazis said, ‘You’re coming with us.’ She said, ‘We’re not moving’ and they machine gunned every one of them dead. That’s what happens when you try to suck up to dictators. You can’t. Johnson has to learn that lesson,” said the New York Democrat, who just returned from Kyiv.

As talk host Joe Madison (RIP) would say (quoting his grandfather) - "Sometimes you gotta put it where the goats can get it".
But then when the people you are talking to hob nob with "Nazis", you soon realize that they could care less.

I remember back in the mid-late 2000s when I would travel down to D.C. metro for work meetings, I would tune him in on (I think) WWRC in VA (he had also been on WOL in Baltimore for a time), where they had put his show in between Oliver North's show and G. Gordon Liddy's show. He would note that when he would come into the studio and walk past an office fax machine, he would see the "talking points" that were being sent to those 2 RW loons. And because of his show's placement, he would get all the RW callers, and he would shut them down one after another after another! 
I explicitly got a sub to XM radio in 2007 (right around the time that they were merging with Sirius) specifically to hear his show. I had found out where he had gone back then when CSPAN did a video simulcast of the show while it was on the air and it was in a XM studio. (ETA - he was still doing terrestrial at the time too)
I probably did hear you... because as he was wont to say (as you noted) - "You never know who is listening"!!
