House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) attempted to explain how the GOP’s impeachment pushes against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and President Joe Biden are different than the ones Democrats initiated against Donald Trump when he was president.

Johnson appeared on NBC’s Meet The Press Sunday where anchor Kristen Welker confronted him with his own words on the matters. “You were, as you just said, part of President Trump’s defense team at his first impeachment,” Welker said. “Here’s what you had to say about impeachment back then.”

Welker then rolled tape of Johnson repeatedly saying that “the founders of this country warned against single-party impeachments.” She included a clip where Johnson concluded, “You know why? Because they feared it would bitterly and perhaps irreparably divide our nation.”

“What changed, Mr. Speaker?” Welker asked.

I get no sound. I’ve never heard his “Moses” speech and I don’t get audio for this one or any other. Anyone else having this issue?

5. If you get this issue, you might have to enable audio for the site in your browser.

I've gotten the same issues in my web browser before.

1.) Click on the link.

2.) next to the address for the link in the address field in the browser, there should be a small icon that looks like a padlock. It would be on the left side of the address field.

3.) Click on that icon. It will bring up a popup window for that site.

4.) Click on the "Site Settings" and it will open up a settings tab.

5.) Go to the permissions section. You might have to scroll down and Allow "Sound", which may be set to Mute.

6. 4lbs has good advice, but another cause might be an audio app that seizes control of the audio chip

Were you streaming music and paused it?

On Windows you can see what apps are making sound by the mixer control.

In my case, I always have MusicBee running and on this old system it needs to have exclusive control of my audio chip. So to hear sound on videos, I have to stop the music, quit MusicBee, run the video, restart MusicBee and get back to music.

You might have to do something similar.

When interviewing a fellow right-winger, Hannity will act like a speaking teleprompter to help the interviewee spew the expected answer to the question.
