Elon Musk demands another huge payday from Tesla

Source: CNN

Elon Musk says he wants a significantly larger stake in Tesla than the one that already made him the richest person on the planet.

In a series of posts on X Monday night, Musk said that he would not want to grow Tesla to become a leader in artificial intelligence and robotics without a compensation plan that would give him ownership of around 25% of the company’s stock. That would be about double the roughly 13% stake he currently owns.

“I am uncomfortable growing Tesla to be a leader in AI & robotics without having ~25% voting control. Enough to be influential, but not so much that I can’t be overturned,” Musk wrote in a post on X. “Unless that is the case, I would prefer to build products outside of Tesla.”

Notably, Musk held a stake of more than 20% in Tesla before he sold a large number of shares to buy X, the social media company he purchased over a year ago for $44 billion.

Of the falcon 9 family (including the heavy), they've have launched 299 rockets with 297 being successful. They have successfully landed 264 of 275 boosters, resulting in 264 less pieces of junk in the ocean, unlike virtually every other rocket company out there. Hate the man if you want, but SpaceX rockets are outstanding and, with future iterations, hopefully Starship will follow suit.

2.1 million EVs were sold here last year. Nearly 1.8 million of those were Teslas.
It's difficult to fault his guidance in the company. (I don't like him either, but this is about business.)

I'm more inclined to think Tesla just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

13. Twitter wasn't about money though, it was about Musk wanting to control what it is we talk about

…and who does the talking.

He could have done very well with Twitter if he actually wanted it to be a money-making enterprise.

14. Truth is, he didn't found Tesla.

He just happened to be nearby with a pocket full of cash. He made an offer they couldn't refuse. Space X is probably where his true heart lies.

I think Twitter was just a dick move, spawned by a desire to get even and executed because he could. After he's done burning it to the ground he'll have a fire sale and walk away.

For doing what, exactly?

...fucking off on that Nazi-circle-jerk social media site he overpaid for?

I really wish Tesla's board would tell him to eat some shit. The company doesn't need his "aura" to be sell cars anymore.
