Trump signals he will move to replace Ginsburg 'without delay'

Source: The Hill

President Trump on Saturday signaled he will quickly move to nominate a replacement for the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

"We were put in this position of power and importance to make decisions for the people who so proudly elected us, the most important of which has long been considered to be the selection of United States Supreme Court Justices," Trump tweeted, tagging the Republican Party. "We have this obligation, without delay!"

The tweet marked the first indication Trump has given since Ginsburg's death on Friday that he will seek to replace her on the court before Election Day, setting up a likely volcanic Senate battle in the weeks to come.

He can just appoint someone. Obama didn’t do that with Garland because of his respect for the tradition and decorum. Trump has no respect for any of that.

but Mitch's enthusiasm might be just a surface effect as he has several repug senators in tight re-election fights in Arizona, Colorado, Maine and North Carolina who don't want to be in the glaring light of Mitch's blatant hypocrisy of giving trump a SCOTUS vote as RBG passed just 45 days before the election when he didn't give President Obama one when Scalia passed some 200+ days before the election.

Moscow Mitch might go through the motions of having a floor vote for trump's nominee while quietly signaling to his conference, and certain vulnerable senators, that it's ok to vote no to save their seats and his Majority Leader position, maybe even his own senate seat.

We shall see.

A trump appointee will make sure we know election results ASAP and the wreck of a health care plan, Obama Care, can be thrown out and the Amazing Cheap, much better plan trump has ready to go can be implemented immediately, not a 2 week wait. We no longer half to deal with elections every 4 years and yards littered with signs. Old people and people of color will be dead and SS slush fund can build a magnificent wall, with Trump name every 45 feet in his honor. And TV will be cheap with no remote needed. Two channels only, Fox and OAN. Finally, America is gonna be great. Guns for everyone, babies for everyone, and Jesus for everyone. I health care will thin out all those disgusting people. Thank you so much God for blessing America. You really Rock.

He doesn't make you sick and he doesn't make you well. He does not answer prayers. I believe he created the universe and then did not do anything. How can he interfere when he gave us free will? In a football game you see someone catch a touchdown pass and thank God. You do not see him look up and give God the finger when he drops the ball. Why not?

That whole post was sarcasm. Kinda thought it was obvious. God gave no shit about genocide of native Americans. He did not care for enslaved humans, being hung and abused, even with the faith the black people still had for him. He has not blessed men and women sent to our wars for profits. He ain’t Blessin kids in cages under his name. He takes people like Ginsburg, allows diseases to attack her for years, but sends us Trump as his personal prophet and allows him to break every command he ever warned us not to. So, no, not a fan of that kind of magic man.

Everything in that tweet is a LIE except the word 'put".

Was watching Bill Maher last night when he got the news. When he announced it to his audience and there was an audible gasp from the persons there. Then Jane Fonda's reaction was recorded as well. She was the next guest on the program.
