Kentucky AG says he has FBI ballistics report on Breonna Taylor's death
Source: CBS News
Washington Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron revealed Sunday that his office has received the FBI ballistics report from the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor, who was killed by police officers in her apartment in March.
"That is a critical piece of this investigation," Cameron said on "Face the Nation." "It's not the end-all-be-all. There are still some witness testimony and interviews that have to be conducted. But we do have that ballistics report."
Cameron said he will be meeting with the FBI to review the findings, which he said "will help us in the analysis that needs to be undertaken before we can get to final steps."
Taylor, a 26-year-old emergency medical worker, was shot and killed in her home in Louisville in March. Both the FBI and the Kentucky attorney general are investigating the fatal shooting.

(86,074 posts)They have to interview the witnesses (cops who killed Brionna) a chance to get their stories tidied up and synced with the report.

(86,074 posts)I heard a radio program a couple weeks ago that looked into how the case is being investigated. The take away from the whole thing is that Breonna's SO who was with her at the time, was interviewed right away, it was an inordinate amount of time for the cops to submit to interviews, like a week or more. There's a major discrepancy there.
Now that this report is available, there's sure to be more corroboration time afforded the killers to help them squirm out of any consequences.

(44,555 posts)especially if it's true that police a) knocked on their door but didn't announce themselves, and b) should have been informed that one of the people on one of their warrants was already in custody.
I'll be surprised if this is cleared up before election.
