Kyle Rittenhouse has been charged with intentional and reckless homicide in Kenosha protest shooting

Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Sarah Volpenhein

Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and five other charges for the shootings of three people, two of whom died, in Kenosha on Tuesday night.

Rittenhouse was taken into custody Wednesday in Illinois, where he lives in Antioch southwest of Kenosha, and was awaiting extradition to Wisconsin on Thursday.

The charges were filed Thursday in Kenosha County Court in a complaint that details how Rittenhouse used an AR-15-style rifle to shoot and kill Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, and injure Gaige Grosskreutz, 26, shortly before midnight along Sheridan Road, where protesters went after being expelled from Civic Center Park during clashes with law enforcement.

The short answer is that minors may not be put to death for crimes that would be capital offenses in adult court, even though juveniles still may be transferred to adult court for certain offenses.

Prison Neo-Nazi gangs exist for precisely this reason: to protect shitstains like this asshole from justifiable retribution in GenPop. He'll be all right. He'll probably end up as the pet puppy-dog for some white supremacist alpha-male, but he may find that preferable to getting shanked in the yard.

For that manipulated fucker. I'd like to know who got in his young head to turn him into this monster. In one video he was on the phone speaking with glee that he actually, finally killed someone. Who the fuck was he talking to? His mom?

I'm trying to stay positive, but this country has been a nightmare for years. I mean, we have a few positive moments, but sometimes the wind is taken out of me.

Prisons are full of white people who attacked or killed black people. They don't live in fear for their lives because of it. They join a powerful white gang for protection and camaraderie. He'd be protected by the Aryan Brotherhood/Skinhead types in the joint. He'd be hailed as a damn hero by that cohort.

I think any Prison Warden would be remiss if they presented that scenario to the prison population. If race wars are their intent, then sure, allow the little fascist to walk proudly around the prison population under the protective wing of white supremacists. However, they can't watch him every minute, and that's all it takes to erase the smirk from his racist face.

We can agree to disagree, mr_lebowski. Either way, his life is pretty much going to suck for a loooooooong time.

Either a hung jury or an acquittal. A jury could be convinced that he's too young to really understand what could happen by going to Kenosha, that he received a misguided sense of patriotism from the internet, that he shot in fear and without thinking when pulled down by Huber and his skateboard.

Thinking the protests were a threat to National Security (or something like that)

Thinking it was HIS JOB to do something about it.

Thinking that open carry an AR15 would be a convincing argument for his opinion.

Thinking that opening fire would be a GOOD IDEA.

But Tucker thinks he is a hero . . . . something rotten in the state of Denmark . . .

Fri Aug 28, 2020, 06:51 AM
Aug 2020

considering that Martin wasn't carrying an AR-15 seeking to use it, only carrying some Skittles and iced tea returning from a corner store, was nefariously followed, attacked, killed, and lies 6 feet under while his killer remains free.

The better analogy might be that this kid received the typical "Dylan Roof gentle handling treatment" by the cops (who had ignored him before and after he went on his rampage while the "public" had to try to apprehend him as the cops stood by), and who was just a few years younger than Roof.

What might make a difference here however, is that since black lives still do not matter, the fact that his victims were all white, will most certainly make a difference in the outcome.

The shooter traveled more than 30 miles across state lines to Kenosha.

That said, if the jury is dominated by tRump humping, gun loving, Q-believing dirt sandwiches, anything is possible.

wanted to trivialize what the Magashooter did by using age as an excuse.

I was just hit by something I read on Twitter by people who are disgusted that age is suddenly a factor in this case for some when the same kind of people didn't show this kind of compassion for Martin who, of course, wasn't running around with a gun.

By the way, I don't blame people for being pissed about armed civilians showing up at the protests!

The two guys killed were both LOCALS! Killed by an out-of-towner who should have minded his own damn business anyway !
