Trump campaign emails supporters encouraging mask-wearing: 'We have nothing to lose'

Source: The Hill

President Trump’s campaign emailed supporters on Monday encouraging them to wear masks when social distancing is not possible as the president has shifted his tone on the practice over the past few weeks.

The reelection campaign’s email, which is signed by the president, requested Trump’s supporters don face coverings but acknowledged “there has been some confusion surrounding the usage of face masks.”

Trump says in the email that he doesn’t “love wearing them either,” but adds “they can possibly help us get back to our American way of life that so many of us rightfully cherished.”

“I recently tweeted that many view wearing a mask as a patriotic act, and there is no one more patriotic than me and you. Why not give it a shot!” the president said in Monday’s email.

Tweet from ABC's Will Steakin wth an image of the email:

NEW: Trump campaign emails supporters to wear masks... seemingly trying to appeal to mask skeptics, but also not fully endorsing them?:

"I don’t love wearing them either. Masks may be good, they may be just okay, or they may be great...My feeling is, we have nothing to lose..."

First the federal government, then the state governments. Exterminating Republicanism will kill the Trump virus in every state government.

We can though take some steps to make it more difficult for them in the future but those will take awhile to setup.

than you have been. I am finally optimistic that-

1) We take over the House / Senate, and Presidency this cycle.
2) Everyone realizes how precarious a Democracy is and
3) Knows which Party has sold out to the Trump/Putin worldview.

We'll be going after these same folks at the State and local level.

We will be understanding how Organized Crime can infiltrate our Democracy. Because we will investigate at the Federal level....to start. Republican's taking $60MM in bribes (Ohio Senate Majority Leader!) to fellate Big Oil/Nukes? Tip of the Iceberg. Lots of pols will be going to jail or going to a friendly (extraditionously-wise) country. Stay, that is serious prison time. Drop a dime? Most likely....no Profiles in Courage with this bunch. Any Democrats doing this same are gone, too.

It's going to be dealt with.

If Republicans try to overturn the popular vote this time, there will be significant prices to be paid. All bets are off as to what the next chapter will be. It won't be pretty, though.

openly supporting a bigoted, misogynistic political party lead by people willing to deal with our nations enemies in secret for assistance to win elections will suddenly wake up like that.
It could happen of course but I doubt it.
For example my youngest brother whom is one of them is still supporting Trump and my oldest brother is a borderline on Trump and might even support him if his wife and I were not around to try and slap some common sense into him now and then.

Seems that's what you are when someone like Donald Trump says you got nothing to lose. Like your life.

It seems like they've been treating him with IVs and maybe they're beginning to realize they can't continue with that subterfuge so now they'll lazily admit to using masks, yet still stubbornly sticking to their hoax claim.
