The Trump administration is weighing whether to take unilateral action if it doesn't come to an agreement with Congress on another economic relief bill, The Washington Post reported on Monday, citing two sources who were granted anonymity to discuss the deliberations.
No final decisions were made, and the administration would still rather get legislation through Congress, the sources told The Post.
President Donald Trump said last week that his biggest priorities in negotiations over another stimulus bill were an extension of enhanced unemployment insurance and another moratorium on evictions.
Both measures were implemented under the economic relief package enacted in March. But they expired in late July, and Congress has not moved to extend them.

(675 posts)The supreme court ruled in his favor as far as allowing the funding to be used while the litigation works its way through the courts. The litigation is still ongoing though. I'm not sure what else they could have done. The courts are the only avenue to deal with this outside of appealing to voters.

And remember everything Trump says is a lie. Everything. What he says are his highest priorities are really his lowest. The wealthiest people in the Real Estate business would love to see mass evictions (especially on rent-controlled properties) and low Real Estate prices so they could swoop in and buy up everything for pennies on the dollar.

The fact that Trump didn't go on a buying spree then shows you that he ain't no billionaire.

(2,248 posts)There is not a trillion dollars laying around for Trump to shift funds (illegally) to this.
Skimming between 10 and 30 Billion form the military for the wall was illegal. Money can only be spent on what it was appropriated for.
Even if he thought he could get away from it -- what fund would have enough money to skim the $600-990 billion this would take.
We cannot have NY arrest him soon enough.
