I still remember the excitement and tension I felt from watching the splashdowns and capsule retrieval’s from thE old Gemini and early Apollo midi ions and I’m glad that the astronauts landed safely.

than it did back then, speedboats were in sight of the capsule within seconds and getting it hauled aboard a ship with a crane was a lot safer than the old helicopter retrieval. Everything is just so much sleeker now and retrieval much quicker.

I hope they brought something to read. The hour or two of farting around before the crack the capsule and let them out hasn't changed much.
