A top Trump campaign adviser recently appeared on the Russian-government funded TV network RT, which U.S. intelligence agencies have said plays a role in the Kremlins plans to undermine American democracy.
Trump campaign senior legal adviser Jenna Ellis appearance on RTs The Alex Salmond Show aired on July 9. She appears to be the first Trump campaign official to go on the Russian-funded network since the 2016 election.
During her interview, Ellis defended Trumps handling of the coronavirus pandemic and bashed the American media as propagandist activist media. Ellis also accused Fox Newsthe cable news network most friendly to the presidentof having an anti-Trump bias.
Even on Fox News, the president has been very outspoken on Twitter that there are some anchors there and there are some particular shows that arent really fair in terms of their editorializing some of those stories, Ellis said. At one point, she told Salmond that he, a former First Minister of Scotland, knew as a journalist how proper reporting works and that American media wasnt doing it.

(4,477 posts)the crimes will become bigger, and more grotesque. If he loses the election, I expect him to openly collude with Putin, deploying Little Green Men, to help him remain in power. He is already using this tactic in Portland, using off the books thugs acting as his personal Gestapo.

(101,411 posts)I knew he worked for the Russians, but I thought he might be trying to act like an independent voice (they have used some English-speaking hosts as "trouble-makers" . I just watched this interview, and he gave a lap-dog performance. He said "some networks are fair to Trump" - meaning Fox, it's clear. If he turned in that performance on British TV, he'd get sacked. No interviewer should be so supportive of a party campaign lawyer. It was a tongue bath. "You're a doughty lawyer. Some Democrats have argued ... can you take this opportunity to say that there is no truth in that accusation whatsoever?" Jesus, British TV journalists haven't been that supine since the 1950s. No wonder she chuckled at that. It's the easiest ride I've seen in an interview in years. She spouts bullshit and Salmond never tries to challenge her.
What a piece of shit Salmond is, these days. Video here, if you can bear it: https://thehub.scot/+AlexSalmond/status/180245 She starts about two thirds of the way through. It's basically "someone has criticised the president. How do you refute that?"
