Fauci says states with major outbreaks should 'seriously look at shutting down' again

Source: Washington Post

Anthony S. Fauci, the nation’s top infectious-disease official, is advising that some states seriously consider “shutting down” again if they are facing major resurgences of the virus — a warning that conflicts with President Trump’s push to reopen the country as quickly as possible.

“I think any state that is having a serious problem, that state should seriously look at shutting down,” Fauci said Wednesday. “It’s not for me to say, because each state is different.”

the election we would have 1800 deaths and 85,000 infections, which is 6 times what S Korea has as they have 50 million population.

Mass murder by the GOP and we still cant seem to do shit about it.

as quickly and efficiently as South Korea did. Which in all honesty, probably wouldn't have happened. There would still have been the Republican states who would have been slow to shut down, individuals who would still have refused to wear masks or social distance. And the claim that the virus is simply a hoax would have been even louder, because so few people would have been infected.

Never underestimate the ignorance of most people.

especially new companies who have 0 experience in providing the product or service they were paid for, and still haven't delivered it.

Putting profit over people has yielded deadly results while some dumbass somewhere is claiming socialist countries ration health care.

and go back to encouraging Americans to get sick and die so their whiney, golf-shoe A-hole-in-Chief can continue to fantasize that the "virus will just disappear one day."

Ballotpedia and the ACLU sites have information on their plans to keep voters up-to-date on state changes to voting.

https://ballotpedia.org/Changes_to_election_dates,_procedures,_and_administration_in_response_to_the_coronavirus_(COVID-19)_pandemic,_2020

Alot of how this election will work has to come from voters. Across the country, COVID-19 has people paying more attention and taking more social responsibility; so that could be a change of mindset that could lead them to being more proactive about their voting.

The sicker and more impoverished they are because of the trump depression, the more they could be negatively motivated to vote. There's also help for them. Thing is, they have to want to productively spend their time to use the help that's there. We'll have to keep an eye on state actions, use social media to spread information for registered non-voters, at the very least.

https://www.aclu.org/know-your-rights/voting-rights/

It's a big country where a lot has gone wrong, and so the hope is that enough Americans are ready to do their part to turn this ship around, because they've learned that, otherwise, no one is coming for them, except in the destructive sense.

the funeral industry. And re-opening schools is insurance that we'll be sending the parents of children into the viral meat-grinder. It's all good for the Sociopath-in-Chief.

He hates them all.

He hates the Democrats, he hates Republicans. He hates Independents. He hates his base. He laughs inside when he gets all of them in a closed venue and has them spreading the virus on one another, while he remains "socially distant." His base are suckers.
