St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson is facing massive backlashincluding a rising chorus of calls for her resignationafter she read aloud the names and addresses of citizens who had advocated for defunding the citys police department.
The names and addresses were read during a Facebook Live briefing held by the Democratic Party mayor on Friday evening. Black Lives Matter protesters previously submitted their suggestions for potential city budgets with various social services bolstered by decreased police department spending.

St. Louis mayor [Lyda Krewson] just went live telling the full names [and] addresses of people wanting to defund the police [and] where they want the money to go, Ashe wrote. Yall [sic] she just put a hit out on people. This is a sick and twisted abuse of power and political terrorism. Police accountability group Cop Watch shared Ashes post.
A petition on Change.org calling for Krewson to resign quickly appeared in response to the doxxing scandal. As of this writing, the petition has amassed nearly 24,000 signaturesjust shy of organizer Maxi Glamours initial 25,000-signature goal..............................

(2,690 posts)And what she did was wrong. Wrong and vile. Despicably wrong.
There's only one person I despise whose home address should be made public often and loudly and that's the morbidly obese denizen of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.
Doxxing is wrong at all times, especially these days when so many dangerous people with guns and bombs want to solve the nations problems using second amendment instrumentalities. And this woman knew that when she did her doxxing.
