The Memo: Bolton expos makes Trump figure of mockery

John Boltons most potent weapon against President Trump is simple but brutal mockery.
By Boltons account, Trump on one occasion asked if Finland is part of Russia.
He was not aware that the United Kingdom possesses nuclear weapons.
He was eager to see if an autographed copy of Elton Johns Rocket Man could be delivered to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un (whom Trump had nicknamed 'Rocket Man').
In the one detail that is likely to receive enormous attention, Bolton recounts a meeting during which Tillersons successor as secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, purportedly passed Bolton a note saying of Trump: He is so full of shit. Tillerson is said to have called Trump a f- -king moron. Bob Woodwards book, Fear, characterizes lawyer John Dowd as believing Trump to be a f- -king liar and former Chief of Staff John Kelly to have considered him an idiot.
... it may be Boltons portrayal of Trump as out-of-his-depth and incompetent that lodges most firmly in the public mind.

(16,254 posts)I seem to recall them calling him all kinds of names because he was telling secrets against their gawd. I wonder if they will stand with him, or if this will be the final straw? There HAS to be a limit to their forgiveness...surely.
When so many former employees have stated their displeasure with the kind of "man" Trump is and/or wrote a book exposing his demanding demeanor, you'd think they would decide they could no longer vote for him.
I noticed someone said Trump hasn't tweeted, today. That's scary. He's either been crying, cussing or playing golf.

(43,045 posts)Trump is not the first narcissistic lame brain who rises to power against all odds. And there are many instances of them in other walks of life, particularly self-made CEOs. Cult of personality is the best excuse for supporters of these reverse failures, in my opinion. Why do they possess so much attraction? I think they sprinkle benefits, or in some cases cash, upon group leaders that ultimately follow them. We are the hated laughing stock of the world, and we'll be paying for this in various ways for several decades to come and then some.
