Schiff blasts Bolton for not testifying after release of excerpts

Source: The Hill

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said former White House national security adviser John Bolton “may be an author, but he’s no patriot” after excerpts from his book claims that House Democrats committed “impeachment malpractice” in limiting their inquiry to Ukraine.

“Bolton’s staff were asked to testify before the House to Trump’s abuses, and did. They had a lot to lose and showed real courage,” Schiff tweeted. “When Bolton was asked, he refused, and said he’d sue if subpoenaed. Instead, he saved it for a book.”

“Bolton may be an author, but he’s no patriot," the House Intelligence Committee chairman and manager of the House impeachment effort concluded.

An early copy of the book, which is set to release next Tuesday, was obtained by the New York Times and the Washington Post, who published excerpts on Wednesday.

Bolton is reprehensible. I have been looking forward to not buying his book for months.

I will not buy the book at every opportunity.

what can Adam Schiff do now? It can't be too late for a trail because lady G is doing one in the Senate I think for the traitor. They should just impeach as an ad on and not send it to the Senate. Hold it in Nancy's balls.

And at least he did finally say something. We saw how much good his staffers who did testify did. There was no way the Senate majority leader was going to let his boy go down in flames. The whole damn party is rotten to the core with graft and corruption. If our chump in chief was convicted in the "upper house" then he would have brought out his book of secrets and the whole stinking mess of them would be in jail as we speak.

The correct term is, “hear, hear!” It is an abbreviation for “hear, all ye good people, hear what this brilliant and eloquent speaker has to say!” This NY Times article cites a SpellWeb.com statistic: On the Web, “here here” outpolls the correct “hear hear” 153,000 to 42,000.Feb 10, 2020

He'll make millions off that book, but his stature as a patriot has gone down the toilet, forever. I've always thought he was an asshole, so my judgment of him has proven valid to a fault.

book - no "author" either.

He had a chance to show some backbone, like so many Republicans, but he whiffed.

He'll trudge into his own sad, fading sunset doing Yosemite Sam impressions at kids' backyard birthday parties.

He is an accomplice, and he wishes to profit off of his insider status.

A traitor, that is what he is.

Fuck Him!

Fuck Him with extreme malice!

He had the opportunity to testify to the crimes committed by the orange asshole.

He chose not to - due to the opportunity for personal gain.

I will never read this book. I will never give credence to anything this asshole, or the orange asshole, says.

It just doesn't get any more crass and disgusting that he refused to testify solely for financial gain. However, what can anyone truly expect from today's typical Republican who puts party before country. The adherence of party loyalty by Republicans has totally blinded them of any objective judgement. It is even beyond the yes, he is a bastard of the first order, but he is our bastard. It is the same type of blind loyalty in which fascism prospered and led to disaster. It is a blindness that allows total negation of any wrong as exemplified and what transpired in Germany as citizens turned a blind eye as Jews and anyone considered tp be a threat or undesirable were slaughtered. The Republican Party membership has been transformed by vicious propaganda into exactly the same type if monstrous Nazi party that consumed Germany.
