Trump to rally for Tuberville in Jeff Sessions' hometown in Senate GOP primary fight

Source: CNN

President Donald Trump will travel to Mobile, Alabama, next month to rally on behalf of Tommy Tuberville, who is running against his former attorney general, Jeff Sessions, as he attempts to reclaim his old US Senate seat.

In a blow to Sessions, the rally will be held in his hometown days before the runoff election scheduled for July 14, two sources familiar with the plans tell CNN.

Despite private appeals by advisers to stay out of the race, Trump endorsed the former head football coach of Auburn University in March. His campaign called Sessions "delusional" after he highlighted his ties to Trump in mailers to voters, despite a falling out over his recusal from the Russia investigation. But a presidential stop in the state days ahead of the race would mark a new level of rebuke for Sessions, who was the first senator to endorse Trump in the 2016 presidential election.

to carry a grudge until the end of time. His cold, bitter heart is his undoing. One can only wonder how a man who was given so much in this life could turn out to be so hateful.

they both said they would never vote for Tuberville ever (both are Republicans)
Here's hoping more Alabama Alums do the same -- especially in the GE (should Tubs win the primary)

I have a friend whose intelligence I respected for 50 years, but she now says the Orange Psychopath is joking, we shouldn't take him seriously. I walked into her house and she immediately shut off Fox. I told her it's not just what he says, it's what he does, and she should pay attention to that.

But if he is going to lose I think it would be hilarious for Sessions to win his Senate seat back while Trump loses reelection.
