Rosenstein to testify in Senate on Trump-Russia probe

Source: Reuters

A key figure behind the U.S. investigation into links between Russia and President Donald Trump’s 2016 election campaign will testify next week before a Republican-led Senate committee examining the origins of the probe, the panel said on Wednesday.

Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who appointed former U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller in 2017, will testify on June 3 as part of a Senate Judiciary Committee examination of an FBI probe of Trump campaign officials code-named “Crossfire Hurricane,” which led to the Mueller investigation.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham said Rosenstein would offer “new revelations” about federal surveillance practices.

Then again, Rosenstein may surprise them (and us) all - and reveal some mighty inconvenient Cheeto doings.

I doubt Graham would have Rosenstein testify if he (Graham) thought there was any chance Rosenstein would wander off the reservation.

"the oranges" of the Russia investigation. READ the Mueller report, and let the rest of us read it. Why waste time on hearings that get nothing accomplished? Is this going to become the gop new version of "Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi?" Surely Hillary had SOMETHING to do with this?

I don’t either. His actions right before he resigned were bizarre. I started to wonder if appointing Mueller was simply a CYA.

Turns out, they were only hiding the football for a year while the GOP used every millisecond of it to cover up the myriad crimes committed and then quash the entire investigation.

Rosenstein is just another shill willing to bend the truth in order to protect the "greater good": the preservation of power in the Republican Party. His is another grave I intend to corrupt with bodily fluids the moment that opportunity arises.

There are so damned many lawsuits, I can't keep track of them.

Give us the open report and let us make up our mind from that. I don't trust Rosenstein when his job is in jeopardy if he doesn't follow the "sheeple" rules.

I smell a set-up.

we won't be able to save it.

I am beyond frustrated, at this point in time. The first year or so of this administration was excruciating, but since Barr came onboard, our country is "screwn" and us along with it.

The majority appears to be in line with most of the Democrats when it comes to disapproval of these clowns. Why can't we raise our voices loud enough to stop this madness? I don't think we can wait until November...certainly not until January. I shudder to think of what he has in mind in the event he loses the 2020 election.

From investigating any of the activities of the Trump children. That meant that the key meeting in Trump Tower was never investigated. No wonder the evidence was thin on conspiracy since the Trump kids were up to their eyebrows in that activity.
