Actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli have agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy charges in connection with their role in the college admissions scam, the US Attorney's Office in the District of Massachusetts said.
Loughlin, 55, and Giannulli, 56, had been accused of paying $500,000 to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California as fake crew team recruits. They had pleaded not guilty and moved to dismiss charges as recently as two weeks ago.
As part of the plea agreement, Loughlin will be sentenced to two months in prison and Giannulli will be sentenced to five months in prison, subject to the court's approval, according to authorities.

Their beautiful lifestyle and loads of cash shouldn't be under the threat of catching CV in a **GASP** Prison! Nope, home lock up with a bracelet which means they could still go out to the pool.

Both of their brands are damaged, but the public has a short memory. Onc this is behind her for a year, will Hallmark (or a similar cable outlet) welcome Aunt Becky back?
The college admissions system is already weighted toward the wealthy. SAT/ACT prep courses; admissions essay coaches; tutors; accessibility to summer programs that enhance the academic standing. The only thing shocking to me about this story is that they couldn't have just gotten the kids into USC through the time-honored method of handing the school half a million bucks.
