2. Looks like 2018 wasn't an anomaly in GA....

The state is changing. Big undecided in the Warnock / Loeffler race. But even if Loeffler get's 2/3 of the undecideds, an unlikely event, she still ends up losing by 6% points...53% to 47%. If all goes well, it appears we may pick up at least 1 GA senate seat. Perdue will be hard to beat unless he really f's it up.

3. I heard some political consultant say that these days, the election is decide in May--
Tue May 19, 2020, 02:12 PM
May 2020

In a negative way-- the eventual loser is defined in some way in May, and there's no coming back for it. (However, this was NOT true in 2008 or 2016, was it?)

Anyway, Trump is defined. Then again, anyone who is conscious has already known what he is.

The question is... will the 3-4 % not his base that voted for him in 2016 ("What do you have to lose?&quot stick with him now? They were rejecting Clinton (to their shame, though they probably don't have the capacity to feel that) out of sexism and/or gullibility to the con man. They were "experimenting' with "political incorrectness."

Is what they got enough to steer them away this time?

I hope so. Otherwise, as Jefferson said, "Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just."
(But it's NOT just to have the country destroyed! Half of us aren't stupid racist greedhogs-- more than half, I hope.)
I tell you, I'll never again ask with contempt, "Why did all those 'good Germans' go along with Hitler?"

I know. "For the same reason so many Americans have gone along with Trump-- because he stokes their anger and tells them it makes them superior."

4. I don't know why you included #7

since that match up is highly unlikely. The top two in the jungle primary will advance to the runoff:

4. If the special election for U.S. Senator from Georgia were held today, who would
you vote for?
Doug Collins, Republican 34%
Raphael Warnock, Democrat 18%
Matt Lieberman, Democrat 14%
Kelly Loeffler, Republican 12%
Ed Tarver, Democrat 6%
Someone else 4%
Unsure 12%

Then:
9. If the special election runoff for U.S. Senator from Georgia were held today, who
would you vote for?
Raphael Warnock, Democrat 45%
Doug Collins, Republican 44%
Someone else 6%
Unsure 5%

5. And the other reasonably possible match-up - Collins v. Lieberman - is tied

8. If the special election runoff for U.S. Senator from Georgia were held today, who
would you vote for?
Matt Lieberman, Democrat 44%
Doug Collins, Republican 44%
Someone else 7%
Unsure 5%

Loeffler is toast, that seems certain - the Republicans will hardly touch her (68% to 21% for Collins, in the first round).
