'I cannot stress this enough: This will kill you.' Fox News host Neil Cavuto was shocked by Trump's announcement that he's taking hydroxychloroquine to prevent coronavirus.
Fox News host Neil Cavuto was stunned by President Donald Trump's announcement on Monday that he was taking hydroxychloroquine as a preventive treatment for coronavirus.
A recent study by the Department of Veterans Affairs found hydroxychloroquine is linked to higher death rates for VA patients hospitalized with the disease.
Citing the study, Cavuto warned: "If you are in a risky population here, and you are taking this as a preventative treatment to ward off the virus or in a worst-case scenario you are dealing with the virus, and you are in this vulnerable population, it will kill you. I cannot stress enough: This will kill you."
"This is a leap that should not be taken casually by those watching at home who are assuming, well, the president of the United States says it's OK," he added. "I only make this not to make a political point here, but a life-and-death point. Be very, very careful."

I've been taking #hydroxychloriquine! Fox's Neil Cavuto says I should stop! He's an idiot! He says it could kill me! Wrong! The VA study looked at diffrent ways the drug killed veterans! NOT PRESIDENTS! I'M NOT A VETERAN! So that drug can't kill me!

(2,227 posts)1. He is lying. So what else is new. Demand a doctor verify that he is taking it, although he doesn't have COVID-19, and then demand that the Dr that prescribed a "quack cure" for the illness THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE, have his license revoked.
Can't do that? Well demand it anyway so he has to start answering questions. That is one of his favorite tactics.
2. He has it. Why would you be taking a highly questionable "cure" remedy for an illness that you DON'T have?
I'm hoping for #2. So sue me.
But I bet its # 1.

(26,044 posts)If he's been taking it for several weeks, he'd be dead by now. It's just another lie to back up his previous one: "See, it's perfectly safe, no matter what the 'doctors' and 'scientists' say. In fact, I've been taking it myself, so that proves it!" I believe he's been taking doses of hydorxychloriquine about as much as I believe "Obamagate" -- it's just another whopper to distract from the deserved blame he's getting for allowing over 50,000 Americans to die needlessly due to his inaction.
