Who's Organizing the Lockdown Protests?

The Daily Podcast

Across the United States, protests are erupting against orders to remain at home, close nonessential businesses and limit travel. So who is behind these protests? And what do they stand to gain

Background reading:

Conservative groups in a loose coalition have tapped their networks to drive up turnout at recent rallies and financed lawsuits, polling and research to combat stay-at-home orders.

Crowd sizes at the protests remain small -- ranging from a few dozen to several thousand at a rally in Michigan. Polls suggest that most Americans are in favor of cautious lockdown measures.

Jim Rutenberg, a writer-at-large for The New York Times.

5. It's obvious that these are simply corona-era trump campaign rallies. trump/maga symbols abound

I read that some of these astroturf "protests" are given advance suggestions of what to wear and what to bring and that, in some cases, they take pains to admonish against wearing anything with a political message. If these were true protests, such stage direction wouldn't be necessary.

Of course, leave it to the media to give trump the free advertising as usual.

I have heard a few reporters point out their small size and how it compares to the millions of others who disagree and are happy to do their counter protesting by staying at home.

was at most 150-200. Denver Metro population is 2.5 Million?

It particularly impresses sane people when the "Teenie Weenie Peenie Complex" guys show up with their assault weapons.

Doesn't she know she has the right not to wear a mask and get the virus from her fellow protesters? Just asking for a friend...

10. THE RNC AND TRUMPS MONEY IS FINANCING THIS!!

It doesn't matter you have to be one stupid son-of-a-bitch to go along with this. But then again, the RNC has gotten these people to do all kinds of things like protest abortion clinics, protest funerals for gay soldiers, blow up abortion clinics and shooting abortion doctors, oh and remember they had them piling up in front of courthouses to protesting laws against posting the 10 commandments in courthouses and classrooms. They don't care how stupid it is or who it is for, you can pay someone enough money to round up enough idiots to do anything. They look so stupid!!

CONSERVATIVES NOT AVAILABLE TO PROTEST:
1. RUSH LIMPBAUGH AND NO OTHER RIGHT WING TALK RADIO NUT JOB
2. DONALD TRUMP AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY
3. NOT ONE CONSERVATIVE MEMBER OF CONGRESS OR THE SENATE
4. NOT ONE PERSON FROM FOXNEWS
5. NOT ONE CHRISTIAN NATIONALIST LEADER (OH, I MEAN EVANGELICAL LEADER)

I guess they don't want the deplorables (ya know, appalachian rednecks n such) getting them sick!!

looks like a Kardashian/influencer wanna be. She may get arrested for organizing a protest last week and is already advertising another rally this weekend with the slogan, "Watch me get arrested at our next rally". She has many last names and probably many make-up tutorials on You Tube (I presume).

They just want attention. I hope the police do just that and arrest her before the weekend!

Liz Uihlein, the billionaire behind Wisconsin’s Uline shipping and packaging company – who with her husband, Richard, has been dubbed the most “powerful conservative couple you’ve never heard of” – is using her clout to try to force Wisconsin’s Democratic governor to relax stay-at-home rules, claiming that the crisis has been “overhyped” by the media.
