for the 14 day isolation.

Saw a documentary on how a typical large cruise ship loads up on enough supplies to feed 3,000 people for just a 7 day cruise.
Their plans did not include more than 7 days without re-supplying.

A bit off topic: The sheer amount of food available shocked me. There are how many cruise ships, not to mention naval ships of all kinds, that have to be supplied massive quantities of food, fuel, etc. 24 hours
a day, around the globe.

It is not sustainable, given current climate problems, much less near future ones.

While drinking water is brought in from land, the water for washing, cleaning etc. is more, and they didn't want, or weren't allowed, to use harbour water.

"We are currently out of the harbour to capture sea water to run their desalination plant to top up our water supply and will return in the morning to pick up supplies," she told the Herald and The Age.

They're in port. it's a pretty simple matter to ferry out supplies. Ferry crew and ship crew don't have to have close contact and this is a case where masks can help.

Ordinary disinfectants work on this bug.

Saw news pics of a ship a couple of miles from land, made an assumption.

Gonna be interesting how the various lawsuits will be settled. You KNOW people will sue, they always do.

Also interested in seeing how many cruise lines are gonna be impacted from this issue.
