The Senate acquitted President Donald Trump for his dealings with Ukraine on Wednesday, culminating months of bitter partisan clashes over accusations he tried to cheat in the 2020 election by pressuring the U.S. ally to investigate political rival, former Vice President Joe Biden..

The Republican-led Senate voted to acquit Trump on two articles of impeachment - abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, was the only senator to cross party lines by voting to convict for abuse of power.

Footage could emerge of Cheeto laughing about his treason while banging his daughter on a pile of rubles, with bedsheets made of the U.S. flag - and they'd still vote not guilty.

voted to acquit because they are hoping to milk his time in office for everything they can get like stealing another SCOTUS slot if one opens up before Trump is out of office.
I hope though the next Democrat in the White House has the DOJ do a complete investigation into Trump after he is out of office and charge him for any crimes he committed.
Furthermore I think an investigation into the actions of the Republican Senators as well because I am willing to bet that $$$ played a part in some of their votes.
