Sen. Kyrsten Sinema says she will vote to convict President Trump on impeachment charges

Source: Arizona Republic

Citing her concern for the Constitution as well as the conduct of future presidents, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema will vote Wednesday to convict President Donald Trump on the impeachment charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

The decision by Sinema, a moderate Arizona Democrat who was seen as a swing vote, was one of the last remaining questions hanging over Trump’s impeachment trial.

On both counts, when asked if the president is guilty or not guilty, Sinema will say, “Guilty.”

Sinema’s votes will put her in line with most of her Democratic colleagues and come hours after the president gave vocal support in his State of the Union address to a bipartisan Sinema bill to provide new parents with cash advances on their taxes.

I am not sure if he will support conviction on both articles, or just one.

Jones and Synema are both going to convict on each article.

I believe that Romney is going to convict on the first article, but not the second.

On another note: Why wasn't she wearing white like all the other women? She was dressed more for some kind of party or concert than what I would expect for the Senate.

our Democratic Senator here in Arizona made the right call...I was afraid she might buckle. Sinema is the least liberal Dem in the entire Senate...

https://progressivepunch.org/scores.htm?house=senate

The one right below her is Collins...so it shows what a gap there is between the two of them.

Romney may be a stiff because he's all spine but at least he has one.

I was never worried about him. I always figured he would vote the right way, along with Jones and Synema. Manchin was the only one who I ever thought might vote to acquit, and he just voted to convict.

He might soft pedal in an interview...I’ve known him to do that but when the rubber hits the road, he is a solid Dem which can be tough in this big red state.

consider not convicting, is very disturbing.

I'd say the same thing about those with the R, but I'm beginning to think those Senators do not inhabit the same reality as the rest of us.
