Massive 7.7-magnitude earthquake strikes between Cuba, Jamaica

Jamaica and south of Cuba, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

It was centered about 77 miles north-northwest of Lucea, Jamaica, and hit at 2:10 p.m. local time Tuesday. The epicenter was a relatively shallow 6 miles beneath the surface.

People as far north as South Florida reported feeling shaking.

It’s not immediately clear is there is any damage.

Tampa is 100 miles further away from Miami than I am, and I didn't feel a thing.

Then again, I was in an earthquake in San Diego and didn't feel that either. I'm starting to think I may be naturally quaky or something.
