"This is an acknowledgement that Republicans' original tax plan was heavily skewed to the wealthy, the middle got almost nothing, and people at the bottom got literally nothing."

Advisers to President Donald Trump are reportedly working on a plan to slash the "middle class" tax rate to 15 percent, a pre-election effort that tax experts and progressive critics slammed as an admission that the first round of Republican tax cuts did nothing for most Americans while further enriching the wealthiest.

"Here we go again," Americans for Tax Fairness executive director Frank Clemente said in a statement Tuesday, pointing out that the 2017 GOP tax law was also sold as a "middle class tax cut."

"Raising the idea of a new 'middle class tax cut' is an admission by the president that his first tax cut was a scam. It wasn't aimed at the middle class but aimed at his wealthy friends and big corporations."
—Frank Clemente, Americans for Tax Fairness

"What's the line, fool me once…? A vague, election-year promise of a huge tax cut for the middle-class should be viewed very skeptically," said Clemente. "Raising the idea of a new 'middle class tax cut' is an admission by the president that his first tax cut was a scam. It wasn't aimed at the middle class but aimed at his wealthy friends and big corporations. Why should we expect anything different now?"

The Washington Post reported Tuesday that a team of Trump aides led by National Economic Council director and Wall Street ally Larry Kudlow is exploring a number of proposals that would further cut taxes, including some that would disproportionately reward the rich.................................

are the jobs from this bill? Where are the tax cuts promised to the middle class from the 2017 bill? Why so many lies? In any event, repugs aren't going to scam us any longer. The democratically controlled House of Representatives won't allow another tax scam to pass into law. Why don't they concentrate on paying for the 1st tax cut (the 2017 tax cut and jobs bill (should be called 'The Republican Donors tax cuts and worthless jobs' bill of 2017).

A scam pulled off against the vast majority of hard working, middle class Americans, and nothing less than criminal and irresponsible, in not identifying the means to pay for this bill prior to its passing.

That pay for the infrastructure...roads, bridges...tons of items our society uses...

Problem is we have a group of criminals that have the ability to push through ill-advised
tax legislation...a trillion dollar cut for the 1%ers and now a cut for the middle class...

Put the rate for the wealthy back where it was, and give the working class the cut..

We built the strongest middle class the world had ever seen,
when taxes were at those levels.
Everyone benefited except the Greedy One Percent (GOP)

Their solution to every problem is more "middle class tax cuts" that screw the middle class and mostly help the wealthy.

Watch them cut benefits and social programs some more. The one budget they won't cut is defense.

While I understand that we'll never get the dumbest deplorables, I would hope enough of Trump's suburban moderate voters would have wised up by now and at least considered if they are better off now than they were 4 years ago. If people remember correctly, most of the stock market gains were in 2017, before Trump's tax cuts were even signed into law, before his new policies had time to take effect.

was the limit on State Taxes and Property Taxes.

We are no longer allowed to write off more than $10,000 between State Taxes & Property Taxes.
Living in Southern California, both by themselves exceed $10,000.
This was a big fat FU to California for not kissing Pendejo45's big fat a$$.
