Trump threatening to fire Mulvaney
Source: The Hill
President Trump has reportedly been threatening to fire acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney for weeks over recent missteps amid the Houses impeachment investigation.
Three people familiar with the discussions told The Washington Post that the president has griped about Mulvaneys appearance at an Oct. 17 press conference in which he admitted military aid to Ukraine was withheld to pressure Kyiv to launch investigations into 2016 election meddling and former Vice President Joe Biden, a chief political rival of Trumps. He later backtracked, clarifying that there was absolutely no quid pro quo.
Senior aides have reportedly advised that firing Mulvaney at such a pivotal moment during the Houses impeachment inquiry could be risky, particularly given Mulvaneys role in the decision to temporarily freeze the aid and the chaos that would ensue in trying to find a replacement for him.
I dont think youll see him going anywhere until after December, one Trump adviser told The Post. But the president was very unhappy with that press conference. That was a very bad day for the president.

No wonder Trump - ever on lookout for corruption - never noticed the corruption among his own staff. Apparently he was too busy hearing the on-the-knees pleas from the thousands of people who were begging to be part of his shit-show.

(9,426 posts)rue the day he even thought of running for the presidency. He had his scams going, pretending to be a millionaire, etc. Now, he has been exposed for the fraud that he is and has been his whole life. His "kids" have been shown to be really not too bright. His marriage is a sham. Nothing about him is genuine. He is a total failure. Unfortunately, these people protecting him are not doing this country any favors.

(10,036 posts)His name ought to enter into the common speech to mean all the things that obviously apply to him; liar, cheater, phony, and on and on. Hopefully there will be additional meaning associated with his name to be synonymous with a spectacular, public failure. And it should last for years so that his spawn are ashamed to use it in public.
Cant leave this to check my thesaurus, but I think that refers to the vernacular? Or maybe theres a better definition for when that happens.

I really hope he fires him. Time for Mulvaney to find out he is not special, that he too has a future under the bus.
