Turkey 'effectively holding 50 US nuclear bombs hostage' at air base amid Syria invasion

Source: The UK Independent

An estimated 50 US nuclear bombs are effectively being held hostage in Turkey as Washington attempts to find a diplomatic way of responding to the country’s invasion of Syria, officials are reported to have warned.

The withdrawal of American troops from northern Syria – creating a power vacuum that has allowed Turkey and Russia to move into the region and displace Washington’s Kurdish allies – has caused international outcry.

And as even his supporters accuse the White House of betraying its allies, Donald Trump has been forced to escalate his opposition to Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan, threatening to “destroy” his counterpart's economy and contract America’s alliance with Ankara.

However, the rapid pace of withdrawal and the tumultuous decline of relations between the two countries has left administration officials scrambling to find a plan for the nuclear weapons stored under American control at the shared Incirlik Air Base in south east Turkey, reports said.

military out of Syria the next day. Some think maybe Turkey made a threat to use the tactical nuclear weapons that are stored in a US Base in Turkey if Trump didn't get all our troops out of Syria immediately.

That threat wouldn't have scared because he knows tactical weapons would not reach US soil and he doesn't care if Turkey used them on someone else.

What would scare him and make him agree to anything Turkey wanted is a threat by Turkey to seize The Trump Towers in Istanbul. His hotels are more important to him than any of the people in the middle east.

This is rapidly escalating into a situation where war with Turkey is becoming a possibility.
We can't let those nuclear weapons remain in the hands of Turkey, especially since Turkey appears to be moving toward the Russian camp.
It's not just a disaster for the United States, and NATO, but the entire middle east is at risk of becoming a battle ground.

What has Trump wrought?

It's a philosophy that runs contrary to everything Jesus taught.
That said, Trump is a perfect example of the anti-christ.
He can be said to be a focal point for the manifestation of this idea.
Jesus taught a philosophy of love and compassion.
Trump doesn't have any love or compassion.
Jesus taught forgiveness.
Trump is about as unforgiving and vindictive as is possible.
Jesus taught a doctrine of inclusiveness, especially with the least of humanity; those who were outcast and suffered at the hands of others.
Trump is all for the concept of rejection of the least of humanity, and is not just indifferent to suffering, but seems to be all for inflicting suffering when ever he can.

I see Trump as a high ranking satan who is worshiped by the masses of devils, demons, and lesser satans that inhabit the United States, and even beyond.
He is, of course, inferior to Putin. As such he must acknowledge him as his master.
There are many other satans in positions of power, such as Kim Jung Un, Erdogan, Xi Jinping and many other leaders around the world.
He obviously isn't above any of them, but may be their equal...hard to tell.

In any event, I see Trump as the biblical "Father of Lies".
It's a title that seems to fit him exactly.

I'm a little heavy on the biblical shit here, but he sure has a large number of adoring followers who seem to embrace the worst of what Trump is all about.
They see him as their god.

. . . When I read the title of this post.

Of course Trump let some of our most powerful weapons laying around to be picked up by an authoritarian regime. He has no sense of responsibility for anything he "owns". Like his children and his businesses, he just slaps his name on them and lets other people handle the work and worry and upkeep.

This is also how he treats America, as well.

Stephan miller and any other administration cohort didn't know Turkey would attack once it was announced that american troops would pull out. The hypocrisy, duplicity is staggering. The blood of every Kurd slaughtered by Turkey is on his hands. Now they are "responding" to the Turkish invasion. Putin told him what to do. He did it and now Russia has a firm foothold in the Middle East and the 50 nuclear weapons are in the hands of the Turkish military.

What a dangerous situation that affects all who want peace. Hundreds of ISIS prisoners free and able to coalesce back into the terrorist group that 11000 dead allies of America, the Kurds, had seriously degraded.

My, my, my.

why the use of words Turkey effectively holding" America's scrambling" to keep those weapons in the hands of our military. Yeah, I see your Semper Fidelis logo, rest assured I don't feel I am spreading false information about the dangerous consequences of this president's disastrous and impulsive move when Putin jerked his leash. I served this country also. I am worried that people are misjudging this very dangerous situation concerning the disposition of these old but still effective nuclear weapons. Yeah, there are conflicting accounts of who, what, when where and why, but the FACT remains this is a very fluid situation. I wish for no surprises that could endanger our military personnel or our country.

When reported positively, that those weapons are accounted for and OUT of contention between opposing forces, then I shall stop reporting what I know.

Semper Fi.
