President Trump blocked his former Staff Secretary Rob Porter and former Deputy Chief of Staff Rick Dearborn from testifying before the House Judiciary Committee Tuesday as part of its probe into possible obstruction of justice by Trump, ABC and the New York Times report.

Why it matters: Per Axios' Marisa Fernandez, Porter in particular was a key witness for the obstruction portion of former special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. He resigned from the White House in 2018 after his 2 former wives came forward with abuse allegations. ...............................................
