Trump's net approval rating sinks in every battleground state

Source: Axios

President Trump's net approval rating has plunged in every key battleground state since taking office in January 2017, according to Morning Consult's tracking poll.

Why it matters: These are the states that Republicans and Democrats are vying for in 2020, and where, as of now, the campaigns think the presidential election will be decided, according to conversations with several Trump and Democratic campaign staffers.

In addition to the key purple states — Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — that both sides recognize as targets, the Trump campaign has its sights set on Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire and New Mexico, all states Trump lost in 2016, several campaign officials said.

-- "We are trying to actively expand the map — aggressively," one official said. "These four states in particular are all areas [Trump campaign manager Brad] Parscale is set on winning."
-- The official added that the campaign, which is planning to beef up its communications and rapid response team with additional hires before the end of the year, will soon be flooding these states with stories that don’t get a lot of attention at the national level — such as Trump's work on opioids and the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade deal.
-- "President Trump will again win the states he carried in 2016 and we believe there are a number that he can add to his column in 2020," said Tim Murtaugh, director of communications for the campaign.

Are losing more voters every day they stick with treasonous, corrupt criminals putin and trump. They know it too, and could easily have 5 or more Senators switch parties to force out McConnell if he resists them. Just a matter of time with so many running from them now. They just though the 2018 Mid Terms were bad. 2020 is going to be much much worse for them all.

and in Michigan's case, it is GOP-controlled. And here in PA, we had the same thing happen - all the top state positions are Democrats (Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, State Auditor General, State Treasurer) along with Democrats making up the majority of the state Supreme Court. However both chambers of our general assembly are majority Republican (although we made gains in both).

that went from a super majority 34R-16D to 28R-22D. In the state house Rs declined from 120-83 majority to 110-93. What's significant about that is that house districts are pretty heavily gerry-mandered.

And the 2020 election is going to be major to claw back as many additional seats as we can in advance of the next round of redistricting (notably for the state House/Senate seats since the congressional seats at least have some sort of precedent in their current configuration).

I voted for the first time in PA. last November. Shocked me that you can press to vote straight party line. Too easy to hack and switch to the opposite party. I went straight down the line and pressed for each candidate.

This is awesome news! I wonder what happened to the Governor's plan to replace all the electronic voting machines by next year? Supposedly that's already in the works. I'd much rather go to paper ballots, and I don't care if it takes 24 hours or longer to report the numbers.

By a 53%-27% margin, Virginians DISAPPROVE of Trump’s performance as president, with another 17% “mixed.” Regardless of how the “mixed” break out, if these numbers are at all accurate, then Trump’s basically got no chance of winning Virginia next year.

The GOP still has their bag of tricks to steal another election. McConnell put the damper on meaningful election protection. Russia (and who knows which other countries), are still free to hack our electoral system, disrupt through "social" media with their fake news, and use every other tool available to swing the outcome to someone who'll destroy our country from the inside out.

Even as unpopular as Trump is I fear he won't be defeated. Maybe I'm a pessimist, but these people will not go gently into defeat. Money and power are their gods, and these evil bastards will do anything to appease their gods. Anything.

Rob Porter, the guy testifying to Nadler.

Porter, former staff secretary in the West Wing, now works for Parscale’s pro-Trump nonprofit, America First Policies.

But Parscale, a pal of presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner, plans to move Porter over to the campaign closer to the election, according to the report.

https://nypost.com/2018/04/04/rob-porter-is-now-working-for-trumps-re-election-campaign/

Brad Parscale --"... Facebook was how Donald Trump was going to win. Twitter is how he talked..."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brad_Parscale

Parscale used employees from Facebook, Twitter, Google, and other platforms heavily for the campaign advertisements and embedded them on his staff to navigate the Facebook, Twitter, and Google platforms so that his staff would utilize all of these platforms' capabilities.
