Trump Floats Conspiracy About Hillary Debates, Roughly Three Years Later: ‘They Modulated the Sound On Me’

President Donald Trump wants his Twitter followers to know two things on July 2nd, 2019: 1) He won ‘EVERY debate’ in the run-up to the general election against Democratic candidate, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; and 2) the television production team for the first debate “modulated the sound” on him, and “got caught.”

Over two and a half years after the first debate, held on September 29th, 2016, Trump is calling out the production team for trying to benefit his opponent. Trump tweeted:

A cursory search on “modulated sound” for this debate comes up with nothing concrete to add to this post, so it is currently unclear where the Commander in Cheif is getting his data. Fox & Friends did not mention anything on the debates on Tuesday morning so that can be ruled out either.

As for Trump’s claim that he won each debate against Sec. Clinton, that’s not entirely true either, though it’s a clear opinion and not worth fact-checking in this remarkably balkanized opinion media landscape.

One of the biggest reasons why I'm so inclined to believe that there was a Russian conspiracy to put Trump into office is the fact that he himself is almost wholly reactive, vindictively so. He wants to destroy Obama's legacy, not because of bad policy, but because he hated that a black man got into the presidency before he did. He wants to destroy Hillary Clinton because she's an uppity woman that challenged him and was more competent than he could ever be. He hated John McCain because McCain stood up to him and received more adulation and praise than Donny even after he died, and it wounded his narcissistic self-image.

He attacks and belittles what he fears, and what he fears most (besides going to prison) is being shown to not be the bigly competent person he believes himself to be.

I used to believe that Trump wasn't smart, but he was surprisingly cunning, but I no longer believe even that. Instead, what you see is a cabal of advisors that each do their best to plant their own personal agenda into Trump's head, counting on his own paranoia to make it a big issue. Stephen Miller and John Bolton seem to be the current drivers, though Bolton's goofed often enough that I expect his influence is waning.

As to the debates, I think he dismissed Kamela Harris as being a black woman and unlikely to be a factor, and was gearing up to take on Biden. The Democratic debates shook him badly, because its beginning to look a lot more like Harris is channeling karmic justice.
